A TyPiCaL day with Miss Kinley

Everyday we come home from school or the store or from anywhere McKinley heads straight to her room. You hear the slamming of the doors to her closet and then she stomps down the stairs and has to show you what she changed into. I go through ALOT of laundry. McKinley cracks me up. She is so independent and so social and has NO problems telling every stranger in the grocery store our WHOLE life story. Here she is after she got changed.

Funny side note(I am trying to make note of funny things the kids do so I don't forget them): The other day me and McKinley were home during the day and she kept asking to watch a particular movie called Pickles and Meat. We don't have a movie called that and I couldn't understand what she was saying so she was mad. Finally after her getting mad and storming out of the room she came in to me and told me she would show me the movie. She picked up the movie and said See Mom...it's Pickles and Meat. The movie is actually called Despicable Me..haha! I love her!

You know your a Mom when....

I was doing my make up one morning and Jer came into to talk to me and started laughing really hard. He went out of the room and got the camera. I thought to myself that my make up must be looking CRAZY. He then took a picture of my make up bag and kept laughing. I looked at my bag and still didn't know what was so funny. He said the fact that I am looking at my bag and didn't see "it" makes it even funnier.

Doesn't every mom have a car in their make up bag? Nothing is sacred anymore!

I aDoRe my kids but LOVE when they are sLeEpiNg!

We all know how adventurous my Lil MoNkEyS are and man do they wear me out at times. Yesterday they were definitely very much so knowing how to frustrate me and NOT listen. When Jer and I go up to go to sleep we always check on them and kiss their sweet cheeks. We had to take pictures of our sweet babies. I love to watch them sleeping and am very grateful for them and their awesome personalities.

My Lil Jedi's

Our Saturday mornings are always started out with the kids playing nicely to them arguing really quickly. They love to play together but fight over whether they should be Jedi's which is what Riley wants or whether they should play princess and prince which is what Kinley loves. Last Saturday Riley won the argument and here they are playing Star Wars...I love them!

Homeade Sushi...paleo style

So we decided that we were tired of eating junk food and so Jer googled healthy easy recipes and we found this diet called the Paleo diet. It's simple. We eat all natural food with no dairy and no grains. We have been doing it for 2 months now and feel AH-mazing. Here are some of the fun recipes we have done. Jer and I have really enjoyed making dinner together and trying new things!

Sushi with shredded cauliflower instead of rice.

Jeremy thinking he's awesome at rollin the sushi

Dont mind if I do..

Yummy!

My Favorite meal so far...Stuffed Mushrooms

Easter Morning and the Egg Hunt

Easter is a great holiday and I have always loved it since I was little. My Grandma Sue always had the best traditions and always made it fun. This year we celebrated it with our lil family and had a great time

Ry Going Thru what the Bunny brought him

McKinley finding her basket (I have no clue why that is underlined..sorry)

Enjoyin Her Chocolate before the toys!

Finding the Eggs. Just so you know they dressed themselves in this picture...haha!

So we took the kids out to find the eggs and I told them to try not to break the eggs so that we can do an easter egg roll(one of my Grandma's traditions I loved when I was little) Here is McKinley's face once she realized that she broke the eggs..oops! Made me and Jer laugh!
And Of course our crazy bunnies that could have cared less if it was Easter or not.

Royal Wedding Celebrations

Riley's school had a huge celebration for the Royal Wedding. All of the kids didn't have to wear their uniforms they were told instead to come to school in their "party wear"

They had a street party where they did dancing and had to come to school with a royal hat(I didnt get a picture of it). There was loads of food and lots of fun. I went to the celebration and was able to enjoy some Riley time and did some dancing with him. We watched the wedding on the telly(haha!) and Riley was so happy to tell me all about the Royal family and what he learned at school. Here is a picture of what Riley drew to commemorate the Royal Wedding..too cute!

THankFul for Her Sassiness

I got a phone call from McKinley's school yesterday saying that she hit her head pretty hard and that her eyes keep rolling back. I immediately went to go pick her up. When I got to the school I could hear her cries from the street. She was very out of it and I knew I needed to take her to the emergency room. I called Jer and he meet me there at the hospital and was great to be waiting for me so I could just drop her off and he took her in while I parked. It was the hardest thing to keep her awake for the 20 minute drive to base. When we got to the E.R there was a long wait but they saw McKinley asap. She couldn't keep her eyes open and then vomited all over daddy. Once the nurse saw her she quickly got the doctor because she was so worried how out of it McKinley was. The doctor said that she had a pretty bad concussion and to wait to see if she threw up again. He said that once she throws up the second time it was time to have a CAT Scan. He said if she did throw up again than she had crossed the thresh hold of dangerous damage to her head. So we waited for about 30 minutes and the throw up came 3 more times. The doctor came in and said she needed a CAT Scan. They did a CAT Scan and everything came out perfect. She's a trooper. I was in such shock that my baby was hurt and seeing her lying in the hospital bed so out it. McKinley is such a sweet and sassy baby girl and I am so thankful she is okay. We were able to take her home later that night and was told to watch her very closely and make sure she is herself. She was pretty tired the rest of the day and went to bed very easily last night. This morning she came in to my room at 6 AM and gently woke me up. She was so happy to show me she got all dressed and is ready to have a fun day...
I LOVE her and she is definitely back to herself. Jer was amazing and helped out so much at the hospital and really was there for her and me. I love him. Glad that everything is okay and very thankful to have her okay and to have things put into perspective. I love my monkeys and there crazy daddy too!

*I know that she JUST had a concussion and there are plenty of you parents that have been through much worse but it rocked my world and now it's over and we're thankful...the end!
