Sandy Toes and Salty Kisses

We had a great weekend. Jeremy had work off on Friday so we went to the beach with some friends of ours. The kids had a blast and we had to pry them away from the sand. Our car turned into a sand pit. They had it in there hair, shoes, pockets, you name it. As far as the water....it was freezing so they were happy to play in the sand.

Friday night we were off to a BBQ (with no nap mind you). We got home at midnight to wake up and leave for a parade and carnival Saturday morning. We decided to go to a local town's parade (not sure what the British was celebrating). The parade was funny to me...I am so used to how over the top Utah does there floats and everything else...... the kids enjoyed it!

Afterwards, we went to the carnival and they had a lot of fun. Riley and Summer went on all the rides. McKinley was too little to ride any of the rides and she was very mad!

We ended our night by going over to our friends house and eating dinner. We got home around 8 (again no nap) and they were asleep as soon as their heads hit their pillows. This weekend we had a great time! I am so thankful for what we have as Americans and really see what it's like to be away from the states and miss it. We were going to go to the celebration up on base but were told by many people who went last year that it was not that fun....with our luck we found out it was the best celebration so far. It's okay we had fun and there is always next year!
