tHe PuMpKiN pAtCh

We took the kids to the pumpkin patch with the Capogna's. We have gotten to be great friends with these guys and our kids play great together. We picked out pumpkins and ate donuts then off to the park. We froze our lil bum's off so we headed back to the house for a nice fire and dinner. Great day with great friends make great memories~

McKinley's Birthday and Costume Party!!!!!!

McKinley's birthday was on October 3rd. Since we didn't have her party until the weekend. We had a celebration on her actual birthday at home. McKinley chose what we were having for dinner which was of course was pizza(you can see on her face in the pictures). She then opened her gifts from us and then we ate cake. Perfect calm night!





We had her party this past weekend and decided to do a Halloween costume party since Dad will be deployed for Halloween this year. There were 28 kids there and lots of sugar. We played pin the skull on the skeleton, ate donuts off a string (our own version) and wrapped a few kids up to look like mummies. Needless to say I am sure all the kids slept good that night! Happy Happy Birthday to my Lil girl. Sorry the pictures aren't very good but you get what you can with 28 screaming kids all asking for something at once..haha!











And then we came home and opened presents on the kitchen floor? It was the farthest I could get into the house before McKinley starting ripping into them!

The Little Lady is 4

FOUR things we love about our McKinley is..

1. The way she says a thousand is howfowsand.
2. The way she loves her daddy.I myself am a daddy's girl so I can relate to her with this. McKinley's daddy means the world to her and if she has the choice of me or daddy to do anything she 95% of the time chooses daddy. Daddy can do NO wrong in her eyes and she looks forward to him coming home everyday.
3. She is a lil mommy in the making. McKinley has the nickname lil momma at home and has taken the name very serious. She is the oldest at her Preschool and has quickly picked up the mothering role at school. She is always telling Riley what to do at home.
4. She can be a princess and a storm trooper. She flips her hair and spins in her dresses but has no problem taking her dolls outside and playing in the mud with them.
She is so independent and so sassy but our entire family would be lost without her. She is my baby girl and I cant believe how big she is.

Rhett and Allana in a whirlwind

They came and left so quickly. We did so much and our family misses you both ALOT. We hope you guys had as much fun as we did. We laughed and enjoyed ever minute of it!

Cambridge
We punted the River Cam and saw 7 Colleges from the river and then went exploring to the Kings College Cathedral. We spent two days here. I love the feeling that Cambridge has. There is nothing like Cambridge!






On September 11th we went to the American Cemetery in Cambridge..it was a beautiful day.


Ely
We went to the Cathedral and had a tour there and then off to Oliver Cromwell's House. I think it was the best watching Rhett and Allana dress up in the costumes there.







Bury St. Edmunds
We went to the Cathedral and then outside to the Abbey Gardens and to see the ruins of where the Magna Carda was signed. Then off to the market in the city center...yummy!







London
We went to Parliament,Westminster Abbey,Trafalgar Square, Piccadilly Circus, Tower of London, London Bridges, Buckingham Palace, London Eye...and anything and everything else you can think of! We had a great time here but were definitely tired from this day!











These two were so funny when it came to taking pictures. They made me laugh the entire time they were here and I had such a great time with them. More pictures to come...

First Day of School!

Here are the monkeys the morning of the first day of school. They didn't exactly cooperate. Riley is now in Year 2 aka Second Grade. McKinley is going to her same Preschool as last year and she goes 3 times a week. They both love school and were so excited to go back. I asked Riley what he was excited about the most? He said for school lunches. Funny answer but if you have their lunch you would understand. Home made and fresh everyday!
This was McKinley's second day back and she wanted her picture taken because she was in a princess(skirt) and she said she needed a picture because she is so dang cute! I love my monkeys!
