OH lil Ry man!

Today I dropped Ry and Summer off at school and Ry didn't want to go in. That is not the normal. On his first day of school he was like "BYE mom... see you later!(no hug..nothing) I was sad at first but than I was happy that he felt comfortable to go in and enjoy himself.
Today when I dropped him off he was crying so hard and said that he just wanted to spend time with me all day and that he didn't need to learn anything else because he's smart and is done with school. After much talking (or bribing) he finally went into his class...still crying. I know he will be fine once he starts playing but man did that make my heart hurt! I love him so much and am so sad that he is getting so big.

Could it be?...It's Fall Time!

Lately I have noticed all the leaves starting to change but today I noticed that they are changing right outside my house which means to me it's officially FALL.

Fall is the only season that I truly adore. I love everything about it like all of the colorful leaves outside, the cute clothes, Halloween, Thanksgiving, the smell of pumpkin spice, haunted houses, warm fires inside, hot chocolate.....I could go on and on! This is my favorite time to take pictures of my lil monkeys too! Hopefully I can get some soon! Until then here is one that I got of McKinley today when she was running away from me :)

Ry's First Day of School

Little man started school last week but I am just now getting the pics of here. He is in a public school in England. His school is about a 5 minute drive and is in Barrow. He loves it and already comes home with lots of stories about how his day went.
He wears the cutest uniforms....I just love him. I was sad for a second when we dropped him off but also glad that he is really enjoying it. He also has his friend Summer in his class too.

Daddy walking Riley to school

I love this picture of Ry. He wanted to see what his class looked like.

I wanted to get a cute close up of him....but this is what I got!

I had to add this picture not for the look on Jer's face but it's the only one I have that shows his school in the background....hehe! Sorry Jer!

We Are FOREVER!!!!

Yesterday we got to go to the temple and get sealed as a family for time and all eternity. The day started out pretty rocky and we had a two hour drive to the temple but we got there. I am so grateful that we could have my parents there to share our happiness.
The kids were perfect and the whole thing was amazing. I am so thankful for our church and our understanding. I Love, LOVE, love my husband and our lil monkeys.....here's to forever!

THE BEACH......

We went to the beach last week with our friends. We had a great time but I forgot my camera...oops! Good thing my friend brought her camera and happens to be an awesome photographer. Thanks Aimee for all the cute pics. We had a great time and had lots to do. Crab hunting, throwing sand, eating sand (Kinley), playing in the water and oh of course finding Ry when he decided to run off and had me freaking out! Here are some pics. Riley and Kade and so funny! They are lil buds. McKinley loves to follow Cody around and Kade is so cute with Kinley always helping out. Needless to say it was a long day of driving. Between traffic and a huge accident we were happy to be at the beach and it definetly wore the monkeys out...they slept so good!

He will NEVER bore you with his words...not even the bishop!

Okay, so today we went to church which always is hard because we have sacrament at the end and it gets out at 1:00 and then it takes about 30 mins to drive home and the kids are so hungry, tired and cranky! Well, we are getting sealed in the London temple on Sept 5 (YAY! Finally!) So, today after sacrament we had to stay to get our recommends so that we can be sealed(different than just the endownment one).
So our lovely family goes into the bishop's office and we are talking with him about how excited we are and then someone in the other room hit's the wall. Riley's says, "What the HELL was that?"
OK really? We are in the bishops office. Waiting to get our recommends. My mouth was open for like 10 seconds before I could think what to say. My reply was "Ry we dont talk like that. Remember we had this conversation about how that is not okay to say?"
I look over to my bishop to see his response and he is laughing so hard that he cant talk. Jer and I were so embarassed that our faces were bright red. Luckily we have an awesome bishop that laughed it off and knows that our loving lil man sometimes picks up the words you dont want him to pick up.
LESSON TO BE LEARNED: DONT BRING YOUR KIDS IN WITH YOU TO THE BISHOP'S OFFICE.
I thought you all needed a laugh!

Ninnie is in a big bed

McKinley has been in a big bed for a month or so and we had a rocky start....big thud in the night when she would fall out of bed which led to a long day since she was getting no sleep, sleeping on the floor by the door and so on. She now loves her bed and I will often find her in her room just sitting on her bed playing. McKinley is so proud of herself and everytime she goes to bed she says,"good girl Ninnie...big bed!"

My Lil Boy is gettin TOO big!

Today while doing our normal "We're bored,so lets do stupid errands", we checked the mail and much to Riley's enjoyment he had a birthday card waiting for him(thanks Grandma!)
After we got the card I promised both the kids that they could each get a nice present with the money that Grandma sent. Riley has been extremely bored this summer and is so ready to go to school so I knew that we had to get him something that would keep his mind busy. Riley picked out alot of really fun and creative crayola packages. Kinley got a doll of course!
I told Riley that we would draw and play when Kinley took a nap....the second she went down Ry was waiting to get started. We both were drawing when he asked me to teach him to write his name. I showed him how and within ten mintues he was doing it by himself. I cannot believe at the age of 4 he can write and spell his name. I love him so much and am realizing how big my lil monkey is. He is an amazing kid and I love his lil personality!

Why I went PRIVATE.....

I have been thinking about going private for a while now. I was looking at the news the other day and there was a child that was put up for adoption on Craigslist who was infact not up for adoption. The reporter had said that the photo that was used was one that was taken off the families personal blog. Nothing happened to the child and it was just something that was on the Internet but it really makes you wonder who can see all of your personal pics and thoughts. So, that is why I chose to go private. Being in a different country and away from family and friends I have noticed that my post are more personal and detailed and I don't want some "CHESTER MOLESTER" (hehe) down the street to know everything about me and my family.
Well there you have it....a very long and drawn out reason:) Love ya all and will post pics soon!

A little Rain, the smell of POOP and Hot Chocolate..making memories!

This morning I looked out the window to this awesome view..

Well since the kids probably wouldn't go play in this I had to think of something for us to do. So I got the monkey's in their rain gear and headed to Newmarket. Newmarket is known all around the world for it's horse racing and breeding. We made a quick stop and got some donuts and hot chocolate and then sat in the back of the car and watched.
If you look real close you can see them racing!

It was rainy today and foggy and so it just added to the fun! These aren't the best of pics. I had to keep the kids from jumping out of the back of the car but the pictures should give you an idea of how pretty it is.
I absolutely love horses and so when I get a little homesick I sometimes come and watch, it reminds me of my Dad. Jockeys on horses are not quite the same as the smell of poop and watching my dad rope but you get the point! We can't wait for my parents to come visit....Sept 1 will be here in no time:) YAY!

I think it's that time......

I have seen a lot of things that are happening with peoples blogs as of late and so we have chosen to make ours PRIVATE. If you want an invite please just leave a comment with your email. Sorry to be a pain! I won't do it until the end of this week.

"BEING A BROTHER IS BETTER THAN BEING A SUPER HERO."

So, Ry got his shots today at his four year check up. He weigh 37 pounds and is 40 1/2 inches tall. The nurse was so calm and told him that if he was strong and tough he could get Spiderman band aids and stickers(for those of you that don't know Riley is a fanatic about Spiderman).
He cried for a minute and then told the nurse he was okay and he said, "Where's my stickers?".

When we got home and started to get ready for the bath Ry was in his underwear and decided to show me how strong he was even with band aids on. As soon as Ry got on his Spiderman mask McKinley decided to join in on the fun. She loves Ry so much and will do anything he does. It drives Ry crazy(sounds familiar huh? Colby)
Anyways here are the pics...enjoy!

Dear Riley,

You've grown so big that you are FOUR. I know that your getting bigger and enjoy doing what big kids do but please remember that I love you! I want to remember and cherish your age and what your personality shows me day to day. So, I wrote a list of thing I love about you.

- Your monkey laugh.
- How grown up you are.
- How you can't go 10 minutes without talking about Spiderman.
- How you say "Mine Idea" if you have an idea.
- How sensitive you are.
- Whenever you feeling uncomfortable you act like your spiderman and shoot people with your web.
- I can always read your emotions in your beautiful eyes.
- How you insist on being the one to wake up McKinley and greet her in the morning.
- The way you cuddle McKinley when she is upset or anyone for that matter.
- The way you run.
- Your fake laugh when you know you have someones attention.
- How excited you are to go to school and ask me about 30 times a day if it is time yet?
- How much you look up to your brother and miss him.
- How you cry when Daddy goes to work.
- When you pray every single time you bless Dad like 10 times.
- The way you dance(hip rollin).
- The way you count...1.2.3.8.5.7.9
- No matter what the price of something is you always say the price is 60 90 bucks.
- And no matter the time you say it is 69:10.
- When we're at the store and you will talk to everyone and tell them our whole life story....good or bad!
- How you think England is just the base that Dad works on.
- How you always tell us how much you love us and are very affectionate.
I could go on for days. I love you very much Lil man. Thanks for being you and having such a sweetness to you!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
