My Little Man Turned 5

While we were in Utah Riley turned 5 on July 24. He had a great birthday and was so excited to spend it with all of his cousins and family. He started off his day with opening his presents(don't mind the Christmas paper...hehe!) Ry got alot of nice presents and really enjoys them all. Thanks everyone!

Then it was off to pick up Colby and then straight to the park/Splash Pad. All the kids had a great time playing, getting wet and using up some of their energy! After that we headed back to my sister's house to relax before we got together later that night at my brother's house.

We got back to my sisters house and just had some relaxing time.Keith my brother in law came inside and told all the kids to come outside he had a game set up for the kids to play. This is what we came out too. Keith had drawn up this "bad guy" on the fence and the kids shot water balloons and used the sling shot to get him too. I thought I got pictures of all the kids doing it but I guess not....let's just say they all really enjoyed it.

Finally we were off the my brother Chris' house. His Bday is the day before Riley's so it's nice to get together to celebrate them both. We had alot of yummy food and lots of family to enjoy.

At bedtime I asked Ry if he had a good day and he said yes and that his favorite part was the WHOLE day except he wished his daddy could have been there.

Grandpa's Are Daddies on Loan

My dad was great to spend as much time as he could with my kids. We went over and rode the horse for a while and then dad took them to lunch. It was nice for Riley to have Grandpa. He's had such a hard time with Daddy being gone that for him to spend some time with his Grandpa meant the world to him and to me...thanks Grandpa!
One night when we were over at my parents and Riley was helping my dad with putting the horse away.My dad gave Ry a rope and was teaching him how to rope. Riley kinda got the idea...haha! Well a few days later we went to watch Grandpa at his roping down at the Fair Grounds. Riley asked me on the way down there Where his rope was? I told him we left it at home. He replied, Well, Who is going to rope with Grandpa?" He was so disappointed when he found out that he wasn't roping with Grandpa. We had a great time watching Grandpa and I hear about it all day that Riley next time WILL be the one roping with Grandpa!

Fun in the Sun

Yesterday we went over to our friends house and the kids played all day and night. While I was lucky enough to go out and have a much needed girls night out. Mike was so great and willing to watch the kids so we could go. Here are some pics of the kiddos playing over there. Thanks again Aimee and Mike for being there for us!

The kids had a blast with the slip and slide. Ri enjoyed spraying everyone as they went down the slip and slide.

McKinley wanted nothing to do with the slip and slide at first so Mike put some water in the little pool and she went to town playing in it.

CHEEESEEEE

Ri warming up and drying off...before he got wet again!

This picture cracks me up..they were shaking from how cold the water was but they had a blast. A lil bit of cold water wasn't going to stop them!

We are so lucky to have such great friends. My kiddos cannot get enough of Kade and Cody. We couldnt be happier to know that they are moving much closer....let the fun times begin! I had a great time with the girls and really appreciated adult talk...Thanks Aimee and Jackie!
